The largest ever Quiz Competition of Delhi NCR was organised by Korean Cultural Centre India

New Delhi :  The largest ever Quiz Competition of Delhi NCR for School Students on international topic was organised by Korean Cultural Centre India. The prizes were given by Shin Bong-kil, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. The top four winners got a free trip each to Korea for 6 Days and 5 Nights. Rest of the 20 winners got total cash prize of Rupees Fifty-One thousand and trophies.

A unique and unprecedented project, the Korea – India Friendship Quiz Competition succeeded in bringing out heart-touching excellence in the form of intelligent answers to difficult questions from the Indian students. Some deeply imbibed the knowledge about Korea, while some just learnt the facts. But whatever may be their route, the destination of all was the same – learning more and more about Korea

Winner students, their parents and Principals interacted with media and told interesting stories about this competition. Kim Kum-pyoung, Director, Korean Cultural Centre India appreciated the diligence of Indian students, while giving away the certificates. Kim Kum-pyoung, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India, said “This contest is an important opportunity to introduce Korea and its culture to the students, the future of India. I’m convinced that they will contribute and play a major role in the bilateral relationship with their understanding of Korea.”
Kwon Jong Sool, Director of Korean Tourism Organization presented the audience prizes. One participant from the audience won a Samsung washing machine worth more than thirty thousand rupees.


Care was taken to make sure that this opportunity to learn about Korea and win attractive prizes reached schools across whole of Delhi NCR – geographically, socially and economically. More than 100 schools were contacted for participation during this 5 month long competition targeted at Indian school students. Thousands of phone calls, faxes and emails kept the interaction going between the organizers and participating students, their teachers, principals and parents. A dedicated website helped the participants to get all the relevant information from a single source.
