GURUGRAM : The Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology is organizing its second 2-Day National Conference ‘Manthan ‘19’on Media Literacy – Tools, Technology and Challenges on 12 -13 April.

Prof. Sachidanand Joshi, Member Secretary Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi will presidethe event and Satish Jacob, Senior Journalist, will be the chief guest. DrAnubhuti Yadav, Associate Professor and Head, Department of New Media at IIMC, New Delhi will be the Key Note speaker on the theme of the conference. Prof. Pradeep Krishnatray of Johns Hopkins University Centre for Communication Programmes, will be the Chief Guest during the Valedictory Session.

 

The conference aims to highlight the Tools, Techniques and Challenges of Media Literacy. Teachers of Mass Communication and Research Scholars from different Universities of repute would present their papers along with other delegates from the media industry. According to Dean, Prof. Sanjeev Bhanawat, the overwhelming response of the conference can be measured by the fact that more than 70 research papers are to be read during all the sessions. On this occasion, the abstract book and SGT Times newspaper will also be released.
