All Students Participated in Diwali Celebration

Teachers Presented a Short Skit to Teach Children for Eco Friendly Diwali

GURUGRAM : Lions Public School Sector 10 A Gurugram organized a Diwali Assembly in the school on Saturday , 14th September . A Craft Competition was also held for various classes in which children made different craft items. Students of Classes I & II decorated Earthen Diyas and made beautiful Wall Hangings. The teachers of the school presented a short skit to teach the children to celebrate Diwali in an Eco Friendly way. It was a motivating play as well as memorable one .

This occasion reflected a collective approach of celebrating our festivals as Class III & IV children decorated beautiful Diyas & Candles to encourage all for traditional light decoration. Class V & VI Children made Wall Hanging & Pooja Thali. Class VII & VIII stidents decorated Dandia Sticks and Dry Fruit Tray, whereas IX and X made Durga Masks and Toran with Eco-Friendly material. Girls of IX to XI also made attractive Rangolis and made a beautiful contribution in this celebration as they do at their homes .

Sr. Principal, Dr Neelima Prakash, Principal, Ms Renu Verma, were overwhelmed by the creativity of the children. They had made beautiful Craft items. Vice Principal Ms Indu Kaushik was amazed to see the talent of the children. She appreciated their efforts and wished them Happy Diwali.

Manager Mr. Rajiv Kumar made the children to pledge ‘Say No to Crackers’ and celebrate Diwali in an Environment friendly and healthy Manner. Speaking on this special occasion he said that bursting crackers might give teenagers some pleasure but these crackers also harm the environment and other people around them. He explained the recent judgement of the Supreme court about restrictions on use of crackers in Delhi NCR cities and tried to convince them that it is time to do something different and avoid bursting crackers this Diwali. He informed that our earth is already facing a lot of problems like Global Warming, Air Pollution etc. Hence, all students should strongly advise their friends to avoid bursting crackers this Diwali.

The assembly concluded with a small Ramlila enactment by the small children giving the universal message of ‘Good always triumphs over Evil’. They also presented a beautiful dance and stole everyone’s heart.
