New Delhi : The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts periodic national surveys to assess learning achievement of children in Classes – III, V, VIII and X. The National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2017 was held on 13th November for assessing the competencies developed by the children at the grade levels III, V and VIII from across 701 districts covering all the 36 States and UTs and covered 22 lakh students from 1.10 lakh schools. NAS (2017) was administered with districts as the unit of reporting in different subject areas such as languages, mathematics, EVS/Science and Social Sciences in the Government and Government aided schools. New Delhi : National Cadet Corps (NCC) has undertaken a pan-India Mega Pollution Awareness Pakhwada (fortnight) from July 01-11 2019. The pakhwada aims to sensitise the people against various kinds of pollution and their effects. It aims to mobilise all NCC cadets spread across 17 different directorates covering all districts of the country in this civic awareness campaign. The problems of air, water, soil/coastal and noise pollution will be addressed in eleven-day long campaign. As part of the mega drive all Directorates will conduct various activities like lectures, seminars, awareness rallies, cycle rallies, nukkad nataks, quizes & pledge taking ceremonies involving the NCC cadets. New Delhi : The National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) has been authorized vide Notification No. 24/2018-Central Tax dated 28.5.2018, to conduct an examination for confirmation of enrollment of Goods and Services Tax Practitioners (GSTPs) in terms of the sub-rule (3) of Rule 83 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017.
