New Delhi : The UGC NET examination was conducted successfully by CBSE on 5th November,2017 for  approximately 9.30 lakh registered candidates. The exam was conducted in 91 cities at 1700 exam centres. The candidates appeared in three papers, paper-I of General Awareness was common for all and paper-II and III were conducted out of 84 subjects selected by the candidates. Approximately 409439 male 519557 female candidates and 3 transgenders registered for the exam. More than 75% candidates appeared in the exam. 25 minutes additional time was provided to differently-abled candidates for Paper–I and Paper –II while 50 minutes additional time was provided during paper III to such candidates. DRDO Developed QRSAM STI Correspondent   Chandipur :  Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) developed Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) was successfully flight tested from ITR Chandipur, off the Odisha Coast at 11.30 AM today. All the technologies and subsystems incorporated in the missile have performed well, meeting all the mission requirements. All the Radars, Electro Optical Systems, Telemetry Systems and other stations have tracked the Missile and monitored all the Parameters. The Missile test met all the objectives. NEW DELHI : CBSE has reopened the re-evaluation of answer books of the 2017 Board exams and issued the rule and regulation as well as it's schedule.. This decision of CBSE came in the light of the order of Delhi high court on June 23rd. Although the Board had scrapped the provision of re-evaluation from this year. This was challenged in the High court and the court ruled in the favour of the petitioners. The court also clarified that that the provision would not be confined to the petitioners only but  should be extended "to those students who have already applied for similar grievance. Sriharikota/ New Delhi :   ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C38 successfully launched the 712 kg Cartosat-2 Series Satellite along with 30 co-passenger satellites today from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota. This is the thirty ninth consecutively successful mission of PSLV.PSLV-C38 lifted off at 0929 hrs (9:29 am) IST, as planned, from the First Launch Pad. After a flight of about 16 minutes, the satellites achieved a polar Sun Synchronous Orbit of 505 km inclined at an angle of 97.44 degree to the equator (very close to the intended orbit) and in the succeeding seven and a half minutes, all the 31 satellites successfully separated from the PSLV in a predetermined sequence beginning with Cartosat-2 series satellite, followed by NIUSAT and 29 customer satellites. The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ` 500 denomination banknotes in Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series with inset letter ‘E’ in both the number panels, bearing the signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, the year of printing '2016’ and Swachh Bharat Logo printed on the reverse of the Banknote.
