\nFTII Announces Acting and Film Making Courses for Children During Summer Holidays.<\/p>\n

For the third consecutive year in a row, children have a lot to look forward to from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune this summer!<\/p>\n

Short courses in Acting and Film Making have been announced.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 15-day BASIC ACTING WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN of age 7-17 will be held from 7-21 May 2019 in two batches (forenoon and afternoon).<\/strong><\/p>\n

(a) Age 07 to 11 years \u2013 Morning batch (9.30 am to 1 pm)<\/p>\n

(b) Age 12 to 17 years \u2013 Afternoon batch (2.30pm to 06 pm)<\/p>\n

The Workshop aims to help kids shape their body language and improve their learning skills. It will familiarize them with a range of acting approaches, voice and speech modulations, and ways of using the multiple possibilities of the body and its flexibilities. They will be trained using a variety of theatre, martial and meditative practices to achieve this.<\/p>\n

Course Director Devendranath Sankaranarayanan is a performance researcher, theatre practitioner, and acting coach. He holds a Master of International Performance Research from University of Warwick (UK), University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), and University of Helsinki\/Tampere (Finland) with Erasmus Mundus scholarship of European Union. He has earlier conducted FTII’s acting workshops in Pune, Port Blair, Rangat (Andaman & Nicobar Islands) and Delhi.<\/p>\n

A 7-day BASIC FILM ORIENTATION COURSE FOR CHILDREN of age 11-17 years is being organised in two batches ; May 7-13 and May 15-21.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The children will learn the basics of film making through Ideation, script writing, screenplay, script breakdown, storyboard, shoot planning, shooting, editing, adding title and exporting it as movie file.<\/p>\n

Course Director Ritesh Taksande, who specialises in teaching film making skills to kids, has earlier conducted FTII’s Film Orientation Courses for Children in Pune, Patna, Rangat and Car Nicobar (Andaman & Nicobar Islands) and Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand).<\/p>\n

The Courses are only for children. Seats being limited, admission is first-come-first-served.<\/p>\n
