Technology Development Programmes (TDP):<\/strong>\u00a0Department of Science and Technology has been implementing Technology Development Programmes (TDP) to facilitate conversion of proof-of-concepts for technologies\/ techniques\/ processes\/products into advance prototypes for validation and demonstration in field settings. The main objectives of the program include:<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support R&D for development of innovative technologies in identified areas.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Promote application of advanced technology for improving the performance and value addition to existing technology.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Capacity building in the area of technology development in terms of human resource and infra-structure.<\/p>\n The sub schemes of TDP are:<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) aligning to Make in India<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Biomedical Device and Technology Development Program (BDTD) aligning to Swasth Bharat<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Device Development Program (DDP) aligning to Make in India<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Science and Heritage Research Initiative (SHRI)<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Technology Development Program (TDP) aligning to Make in India<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Technology Mission for Indian Railways (TMIR) aligning to Make in India<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Waste Management Technologies (WMT) aligning to Swachh Bharat and Smart City<\/p>\n The US firm KPMG has released a report based on 750 industry representatives including start-up entrepreneurs and FORTUNE 500 executives titled \u2018The Changing Landscape of Disruptive Technologies\u2019.
