\"\"New Delhi :<\/strong> In our country many Awards are given to the experts of different fields to encourage the present and coming generations after getting freedom . Hence this subject is covered by most of the exams in India. At least one question is asked from Awards and their Fields name in every exam . It includes International, National, and State level Awards.<\/p>\n

Therefore we must know the details about Important Awards and their Fields for the preparation of upcoming exams like \u2013 SSC, UPSC, CGL, IRDAI, UIIC, OICL, RBI, RRB, IBPS , FCI, HPSC, BPSC, UPPSC, DANICS, CPO, and other states staff selection commission’s exams as well as state public service commission’s exams.<\/p>\n

More than 33 Awards are conferred in Different Fields :<\/h2>\n

1. Bharat Ratna \u2013<\/strong> It is the highest civilian award of the India. The award was given for outstanding achievements in the arts, literature, science and public services but the government expanded the criteria to include \u201cany field of human endeavour\u201d. The number of annual awards is restricted to a maximum of three in a particular year.<\/p>\n

2. Padma Awards \u2013<\/strong> Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards are for exceptional and distinguished service in any field including service rendered by Government servants.<\/p>\n

3. Gallantry Awards \u2013<\/strong> Param Vir Chakra (PVC), Ashok Chakra, Shaurya Chakra are given for appreciating the brave and gallant.<\/p>\n

4. Nobel Prize \u2013<\/strong> The Nobel Prize is widely regarded as the most prestigious award available in the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, peace, and economics.<\/p>\n

5. Booker Prize \u2013<\/strong> Literature
\nIt is an annual award for the best original novel, written in the English language, and published in the UK literary award.<\/p>\n

6. Vyas Samman<\/strong> \u2013 Literature
\nVyas Samman is awarded annually by the K.K. Birla Foundation in recognition of the Hindi literary work published in past 10 years.<\/p>\n

7. Moorti Devi Award \u2013<\/strong> Literature
\nThe Moortidevi Award is an annual literary award in India presented by the Bharatiya Jnanpith organization for a work which emphasizes Indian philosophy and culture.<\/p>\n

8. Saraswati Samman \u2013<\/strong> Literature
\nThe award was instituted in 1991 by the K. K. Birla Foundation. It is an annual award given for outstanding prose or poetry literary works in any 22 Indian languages.<\/p>\n

9. Jnanpith award \u2013<\/strong> Literature
\nThe award was instituted in 1961 and it is It is presented by the Bharatiya Jnanpith, a trust founded by the Sahu Jain family, the publishers of the newspaper The Times of India. It is an annual award given for outstanding prose or poetry literary works in any 22 Indian languages.<\/p>\n

10. Bihari Puraskar \u2013<\/strong> Literature
\nBihari Puraskar is a literary award instituted by K. K. Birla Foundation. The award is named after the famous Hindi poet Bihari and is awarded to an outstanding work published in Hindi or Rajasthani by a Rajasthani writer.<\/p>\n

11. The Oscar\/Academy Awards<\/strong> \u2013 Films
\nThis is an annual American awards ceremony honoring cinematic achievements in the film industry.<\/p>\n

12. Dadasaheb Phalke Award \u2013<\/strong> Cinema\/Films
\nThe Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India\u2019s highest award in cinema. It is presented annually at the National Film Awards ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals, an organisation set up by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.<\/p>\n

13. Arjuna Award \u2013<\/strong> outstanding performance from the sports persons in sports and games.
\nThe Government has modified the format of Arjuna Award very recently and as per the revised schematic guidelines a sports person must have very good consistent performances for the previous 3 years at the international level to be considered as eligible for the Award.<\/p>\n

14. Dronacharya Award \u2013<\/strong> Eminent coaches of any particular sport
\nThe award is named after the very famous archery coach, mentioned in the epic of India known as the Mahabharata. This very award is not related with the sports persons who are still playing in the field; instead this is related to those eminent coaches of any particular sport.<\/p>\n

15. Dhyan Chand Award<\/strong> \u2013 The award that is given to the veteran sports persons of India for their lifetime achievement in their respective field of sport is named as the Dhyan Chand Award for Life Time Achievement in Sports and Games.<\/p>\n

16. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award<\/strong> \u2013 The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna is the highest honour bestowed to a sports person for his\/her achievements in India.<\/p>\n

17. Stirling Prize \u2013<\/strong> Architecture
\nThe Royal Institute of British Architects Stirling Prize is a British prize for excellence in architecture.<\/p>\n

18. Aga Khan Award<\/strong> \u2013 Architecture
\nThe Aga Khan Award for Architecture (AKAA) is an architectural prize established by Aga Khan IV in 1977. It aims to identify and reward architectural concepts that successfully address the needs and aspirations of Islamic societies in the fields of contemporary design, social housing, community development and improvement.<\/p>\n

19. Pritzker Prize \u2013<\/strong> Architecture

20. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize \u2013<\/strong> Science & Technology

21. Kalinga Prize \u2013<\/strong> Science

22. Grammy Award \u2013<\/strong> Music
\nA Grammy Award, or Grammy, is an accolade by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry.<\/p>\n

23. Abel Prize \u2013<\/strong> Mathematics
\nThe Abel Prize is an international prize awarded annually by the Government of Norway to one or more outstanding mathematicians.<\/p>\n

24. International Gandhi Peace Prize \u2013<\/strong> This award is given to individuals and institutions for their contributions towards social, economic and political revolution through non-violence and Gandhian philosophy. The award carries Rs. 10 million in cash.<\/p>\n

25. Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award<\/strong> \u2013 This is for Excellence in Public Administration, Academics and Management.<\/p>\n

26. Green Star Awards \u2013<\/strong> The Green Star Awards recognize those who have made extraordinary efforts to respond to environmental disasters around the world.<\/p>\n

27. Magsaysay Award \u2013<\/strong> Public Service, Leadership, Journalism, Literature,creative arts and international understanding.<\/p>\n

28. Pulitzer Prize<\/strong> \u2013 The Pulitzer Prize is an award for achievements in newspaper and online journalism, literature, and musical composition in the United States.<\/p>\n

29. Sahitya Akademi Award \u2013<\/strong> Books in Indian Languages and English.<\/p>\n

30. Manthan Award<\/strong> \u2013 It is an initiative in India to recognize the best practices in e-Content and Creativity.<\/p>\n

31. FiFi Awards \u2013<\/strong> The FiFi Awards honor the fragrance industry\u2019s creative achievements.<\/p>\n

32. Sangeet-Natak Akademi Award \u2013<\/strong> Music, dance and Drama.<\/p>\n
