New Delhi:<\/strong> (IAS)<\/span> In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh informed that a total of 1,365 posts are vacant in the Indian Administrative Service<\/a> and 703 in the Indian Police Service (IPS). Apart from this, there are 1042 vacancies<\/a> in the Indian Forest Service (IFS) and 301 vacancies in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).<\/p>\n According to the Union Minister of State for Personnel, the process of filling these posts is on. The central government is making efforts in this direction. He said that Union Public Service Commission conducts Civil Services Examination (CSE) every year to fill vacancies in IAS, IPS, IAF and IRS on direct recruitment basis.<\/p>\n Jitendra Singh said that the Union Public Service Commission conducts selection committee meetings with state governments to fill vacancies in the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service promotion quota. The government has increased the annual recruitment of IAS officers through CSE to 180 by CSE-2022.<\/p>\n After CSE-2020, the recruitment of IPS has increased to 200. And in 2022, IFS recruitment has been increased to 150 and IRS recruitment to 301.<\/p>\n
