New Delhi:<\/strong> In preparation for the upcoming academic session, the University Grants Commission (UGC)<\/a> annually publishes a list of universities labelled as “fraudulent” by the organization<\/a>. This year, the list includes 20 universities that lack the authority to grant degrees. Among these, the city of Delhi stands out with the highest count of such institutions, totalling eight in number.<\/p>\n The UGC has brought to public attention that numerous institutions are engaging in awarding degrees that violate the guidelines outlined in the UGC Act. The degrees conferred by these universities hold no recognition or validity for pursuing advanced education or seeking employment. It’s important to note that these universities do not possess the necessary authorization to grant any form of degree, as highlighted by Manish Joshi, the Secretary of UGC.<\/p>\n Within Delhi, there are eight institutions identified as “fraudulent” by the UGC. These institutions are as follows:<\/p>\n Uttar Pradesh has four such universities \u2014 Gandhi Hindi Vidyapith; National University of Electro Complex Homeopathy; Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University (Open University); and Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad.<\/p>\n Karnataka, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Kerala also have \u201cfake\u201d universities, the UGC said.<\/p>\n Fake Universities Fake Universities Fake Universities<\/span><\/p>\n \n
