GURUGRAM : \u00a0Lions Public School, Gurugram has always believed in commending the students to inspire them to scale greater heights. A felicitation ceremony was held to honor the brilliant stars in two phases first on 8th April, 2017 for Nursery to class V and concluding on 22nd April,2017 for classes VI- IX & XI. The function commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by a melodious welcome song by the students.\u00a0 Special feature of the event was Qawwali \u00a0presented by the students that got an unending clapping by the gathering. Everybody praised this commendable effort done by the students and teachers of the school.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering \u00a0school’s Sr. Principal Dr. Neelima Prakash<\/strong> congratulated the students for their best performance and made stress on the need to make best use of time and opportunity to bring pride to society. She also pointed out those areas where all\u00a0teaching staffs have to work more in the coming year .\u00a0<\/p>\n The ceremony was witnessed by the proud parents of the achievers and management committee, who were enthralled by the performance of the students. School Chairman Lion A.C. Goel<\/strong> graced the occasion and presented the students mementoes and trophies in various categories besides academic excellence like best performer, all-rounder, star leader, star orator, awesome artist and many more. On this occasion Mr Goyal advised\u00a0to use this moment to set a future goal.<\/p>\n Students who excelled in academics and co-curricular activities were awarded medals, badges and trophies. The other categories were Scholars, genius, subject proficiency, computer whiz, sportsperson, full attendance etc. Fraternity House bagged the Best House Trophy and Sports Champion Trophy was won by Amity House . On this occasion the Student Council for the new session 2017-18 was also introduced to the parents and management committee.<\/p>\n Ex-Chairman Lion D.V. Taneja<\/strong> blessed the students and requested the gathering to say no to poly bags and switch to Jute bags. He briefed\u00a0the students of different classes about\u00a0the need of the hour to plant more and more trees. All students promised him to be part of his great initiative of ” Say no to Poly Bags” for ever.<\/p>\n School Manager \u00a0Rajiv Kumar<\/strong> addressed the parents and emphasised on the overall development of students. He opined that the joint effort by school and parents can give the best result by means of grooming of the children. Hence we must be vigilant and cautious about our children’s academic performance as well as moral appearance . Both are equally important to be successful in this competitive world .<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Principal Mrs. Renu Verma <\/strong>blessed the children to excel in various fields. Vice Principal Mrs. Indu Kaushik<\/strong> wished the students the very best for all their future endeavors and presented vote of thanks. The program concluded with singing of National Anthem.<\/p>\n
