GD Goenka University Organizes Marketing Meet  : Corporate and Academic Representatives Brainstorm on the Impact of the Emerging Corporate Scenario

GURUGRAM : The 3rd edition of Marketing Meet was organized by the School of Management, G D Goenka University, Gurugram on Friday, 18th November. The theme of the meet was based on the Importance of AI in Marketing. Its title was  “The Big Reset: AI Driven Marketing.” . In this marketing meet, representatives from the corporate and academic world spoke in detail on the importance and impacts of AI and Machine Learning on marketing under one platform. Along with this, industrial management experts also brainstormed on various industry verticals and the impact of the emerging corporate scenario. More than 300 students of the university interacted with management experts on different aspects .

 

The program was inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana and lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Welcome speech was delivered by the Vice Chancellor of G D Goenka University, Prof. Dr. Tabrez Ahmed. In his address, he threw light on the current global scenario and various technical and managerial aspects of industrial development.

 

Dean, School of Management, Prof. (Dr.) Alok Pandey in his inaugural address discussed the outline and theme of the third edition of the Marketing Meet. He expressed hope that the experience of the experts present in this meet would provide an opportunity to the students to understand the changing nature of management and the requirements of the market. Registrar of GD Goenka University Dr. Dhirendra Parihar was also present in the program.

 

The chief guest of the event, Avneesh Prasad, Director-Product, Paytm, in his address talked about the various perceptions of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and myths related to it. He explained its various aspects to the students in detail. Regarding its increasing use in the market, the students also asked many questions, to which they gave logical and factual answers.

 

This was followed by a serious panel discussion moderated by Dr. Sudipta Sen Gupta, Associate Professor, School of Management. The panellists included Indranil Chakraborty, Chief Business Officer – Equivalence, Lenskart, Nidhi Verma Srivastava, Vice President of Global Product Leadership, NielsenIQ Base, Manish Goyal, Director of Cloud Native Industry, Oracle, Pragati Srivastava, Senior Executive Marketing, College Dekho and Udit Kumar , Strategic Marketing Manager, Value First. The panelists discussed the impact of AI (Artificial Intelligence) on marketing using cutting edge and smart technologies. He emphasized that AI (Artificial Intelligence) can be used in many marketing scenarios. They presented their perspective on how AI powered marketing is being employed in their respective companies. He also discussed the problems and possibilities of AI (Artificial Intelligence) driven marketing.

 

Arunabh Das Sharma, CEO & MD, Sagasito Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in his session discussed some important issues like how technology is disrupting traditional marketing, tectonic changes and technological trends in marketing, and the role of creators and influencers in marketing in present times.

 

The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepti Vadera, Associate Professor, School of Management. More than 300 students of GD Goenka University actively participated and learned the tricks of commercial and industrial management in this highly successful marketing meet in which experts shared their wonderful experiences with the students.
