New Delhi : The joint entrance examination JEE advanced for admission to IIT and NITs has been postponed. Now it is to be held on May 27 instead of May 19 . This decision is taken due to Lok Sabha elections. It was decided on Tuesday .
There will be no delay in the declaration of results but the exam will be held after one week the date is may 27 earlier it was to be held on May 19. This decision was taken by the examining committee on 19th March.I is said that in view of the clash in the dates of JEE advanced 2019 and the last phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019 the exam date of JEE advanced has been shifted to may 27 this year. The examination will be held in India and abroad on the same date in two shifts as per the examination schedule . Paper 1 will be organised between 9:00 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Paper 2 will be organised between 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on that day. It is declared by the committee on its website. Now the applicants of JEE advanced will have one week more to prepare themselves for this important examination but the result will be published as per the earlier scheduled date. It indicates that no any delay will be in publishing the result of JEE advanced and the counselling as well as admission procedures will be followed as per schedule.
