Chandigarh June 23: Haryana Government has granted permission to Bhagat Phool Singh (BPS) Government Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat to apply to Medical Council of India (MCI), Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for increase of MBBS intake from 100 to 150.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
He said that the additional infrastructure and staff including members of teaching faculty would be created for additional 50 seats of MBBS per year. The Director, Bhagat Phool Singh (BPS) Government Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat has been asked to apply MCI well in time, he added.
