SOF will Spend Over Rs. 15.2 Crores on Awards

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) a non-profit organisation based in New Delhi, India conducts Olympiad exams for the students of class 1st to 12th . This educational foundation promotes science, mathematics, introductory computer education and English language skills amongst school children in India.
It organises six Olympiads annually :
1. National Cyber Olympiad (NCO
2 National Science Olympiad (NSO)
3 International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO),
4 International English Olympiad (IEO)
5 International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO)
6 International Company Secretaries Olympiad(ICSO).
Last year there was an olympiad, International Sports Knowledge Olympiad (ISKO), but its place has been taken by IGKO.
EXAM SCHEDULE 2017-18
Schedule of Olympiad exams for 2017-18 is as under.
Schools may select one date for conducting the Olympiad in their school. Change of date is not permitted. There are separate question paper for different dates. Schools may send registrations by 30 days before chosen date of exam date.

2ND LEVEL EXAMS
- 2nd level exam will be held on 2nd / 3rd Sunday of Feb 2018.
- 2nd level exam will be held for students from classes 3rd to 12th for IEO, NSO & IMO.
- IGKO, ICSO & NCO will be single level exams.
AWARDS/SCHOLARSHIPS/RECOGNITIONS
During the academic year 2016-17, over 42800 schools from more than 1400 cities registered and millions of students appeared for the six Olympiad exams. These Olympiads were conducted across 25 countries.
For the academic year 2017-18, SOF will spend over Rs. 15.2 Crores on awards, Scholarships, gifts & felicitations etc.
The following awards will be provided to the winners of Olympiads being held during the academic year 2017-18:
AWARDS/SCHOLARSHIPS – STUDENTS
- For NSO, IEO & IMO – International & Zonal toppers (in 20 zones) of classes three to twelve, awards will be provided to 2nd level winners.
- For NCO, IGKO & ICSO and class 1 & 2 winners of IEO, NSO & IMO – International & Zonal topper awards will be provided to 1st level winners as these are single level exams.
- Each winner will be entitled to one award for an exam. The winners will be entitled to the higher level award only. For eg,. the international top 3 rank holders will be entitled to awards based on their International ranks. Awards accruing to them for Zonal ranks will be given to the next rank holder. Similarly, school award accruing to a Zonal award winner will be given to the next rank holder.
