Chandigarh, January 29: The Haryana Government has decided to implement ‘ E Karma Program’ with the objective of working independently in the state and promoting entrepreneurship. In line with the Government’s vision of encouraging self-employment, entrepreneurship and start-ups in the youth of the state, this scheme will be started from the initial batch of two thousand youth in 21 colleges. Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister Manohar Lal has given a proposal to this effect.
He said that 21 colleges have been identified on the basis of the available hardware and internet connectivity facilities to start this scheme. Under this scheme, the required skills will be provided to interested youth in the vicinity of these colleges. He informed that the Higher Education Department will assist in the effective implementation of this scheme through its Principals.
The spokesman said that the budget for the eligibility conditions for potential bidders and for two thousand trainers will be finalized in consultation with industry partner’s knowledge partner KPMG. He explained that the results of this scheme will be evaluated on the basis of the foreign currency earned by the trainers within one year of the completion of the training. In addition, it will also be ensured that the successful bidder, ie the service provider, is committed that the amount earned by the training in a year is equal to or more than the amount spent by the government on the training of this batch of 2,000 youth.
